Generation Esports Collaborates with Intel for Summer Competition

Generation Esports is thrilled to announce a collaboration with Intel for the Intel PC Champions competition, an exciting summer promotion designed to get retail associates ready for the back-to-school sales season. This joint initiative will bring together several prominent retailers, including Best Buy, Micro Center, Office Depot / Office Max, Staples, and more.

Presented by the Intel® Retail Edge Program, an industry-leading brand advocacy and eLearning program for PC retail sales associates, the six-week learning competition culminates with the opportunity for retailers to give back to their local communities. Winning stores have the honor of selecting Generation Esports K-12 schools to receive an esports technology package that includes systems from Dell, HP, and Lenovo.

"Intel's commitment to bridging technology, education, and retail is embodied in the Intel® Retail Edge Program. Our alliance with Generation Esports amplifies this, equipping associates with advanced training while simultaneously supporting local schools through esports technology grants," said Jeff Clark, Intel® Retail Channel Brand Advocacy Manager.

In the Intel PC Champions competition, thousands of retailers nationwide vie to make a significant impact on their local schools through scholastic esports. Up to 27 of the highest-scoring retail stores will have the honor of selecting a Generation Esports school in their community to receive a PC technology grant. These grants amass a substantial sum of $300,000, which includes $135,000 in cash donations generously provided by Intel.

Further emphasizing their commitment to educational development, Generation Esports will donate one year of the Gaming Concepts curriculum to winning schools to enrich these programs with lasting resources.

"Generation Esports recognizes the importance of providing a comprehensive esports experience for students," said Mason Mullenioux, CEO of Generation Esports. "This collaboration will ensure certain schools have the resources to bolster their program from the ground up."

"This collaboration allows us to showcase the benefits of esports to retailers and educational institutions while also providing much-needed resources to deserving schools,” said Tyler Infinger, Head of Marketing at Generation Esports.

The Generation Esports and Intel alliance through Intel PC Champions marks a significant milestone in expanding esports in the scholastic space. By combining the expertise of leading retailers, this competition promises to create a lasting impact on students, schools, and the esports community as a whole.
